And Just Like That...

...you post to the World Wide Web that your babies are terrific nappers and they prove you so, so wrong.

Today has been rough. Between two teething babies, short naps, general fussiness (see: short naps) and "don't leave my sight" cries (isn't it too early for that?), I am spent!

Just keeping it real on the ol' blog. For the two of us (I figure there has to be one other clueless soul out there) who thought I had it all together: I'm waving the white flag!

(...But then Sloaney sticks her tongue out at me and I realize today was not what I expected, but it was still pretty great.)

Yup. :)

(Tomorrow will be a better day. Store up those smiles for the hard times...)

My little O is already doing the, "if i hear my mommy's voice but she is not holding me i am going to cry or if I see my mommy and she is not holding me i am going to cry". it makes me feel special but at the same time it breaks my husband's heart & it doesn't allow me to do a lot around the house. and yes we have some great nap days (like today she napped for 2 hours straight) but I have no idea what is in store for tomorrow! BTW LOVE this pic of Sloane!! Too cute and funny :-)

I have developed this weird superstition about not saying anything out loud about anything good going on with my kids, because the second I do they go and cut it out! It's so bad that if someone calls toward the end of a really long nap I even refrain from saying, "Yeah, he's been sleeping almost 3 hours!" because I'm afraid I'll jinx it and they'll wake up that instant. (For example, as I sat telling Todd how great Riggs has been doing with potty training last weekend, across the room the kid is simultaneously pooping his pants). Kids...they mess with your head, man!!!

I thought it was hard when ONE baby had one of those days, but you are double teamed, my friend! Love your positive outlook and perspective. Sloane's adorable face makes everything better. And just a glance at Jude's hair always makes me giggle. :)

This made me chuckle! You're doing such a superb job of soaking up the details of the great days, and finding the memorable nuggets of the harder days. =)

I ran across your blog through Leslie's blog. I have 7 month girl twins. I TOTALLY identify with so much of what you write about! We have dealt with the nap time chaos off and on..whew! Plus, add two teething babies...I feel your pain! ;) Praying for some sweet moments amidst the chaos!
