Life Lately

Well.

Where do you start when it's been two months?  We've been to Disney World, Sanibel Island, drove 44 hours in a car with two toddlers, continued with speech therapy, started wearing foot braces (with a new addition - a leg restraint - to be discussed at a later time), began MDO at Crosspoint, MOPS and a women's bible study at Preston Trail, continued ballet, tried gymnastics, saw Garth Brooks, partied in Vegas (just me), partied in Austin (just Michael), 15-year class reunion in Fort Smith, guest posted on a few blogs (while completely ignoring this one), visited the Arboretum with friends...

I'm absolutely positive I'm missing something.  It's been a fun few months and today my babies are one month shy of three.  I'm saving their full updates for the three-year post but these two have been up to so much lately.  They've adjusted so well to "school" and absolutely love it.  They are smart, they are kind, they are sneaky, they are naughty.  They are everything and more, all wrapped up into two (not so) tiny packages of perfection.

For those of you who are still here, I hope you follow me on Instagram so you've actually seen a glimpse into our lives the last few months.  I'm so overwhelmed with pictures that I don't even know what to post.  So I'm giving myself grace (which I do often on this blog) and telling myself to breathe in, breathe out, onward and upward.

And on that note, I'm leaving you with a song I adore.  I cry every time they sing it at church and hope if you take anything away from this ridiculous post, it is THIS.

You are not the only one who finds it difficult to sit down at the computer nowadays. The few moments I snatch at the old desktop are devoted to paying bills. Boo. So much less fun than guest blogging. :)

I tell myself that these busy seasons are the times we'll remember most. Then I worry that they will all fade into a massive blur if I don't mindfully and conscientiously process them. That's what blogging is for me now and I miss it when I don't make the time. Which is all to say that the struggle is real for me too. Miss you, friend!
